My boredom and me

I have been in hospital for 3 and a half long weeks, and have only had my PS3 for 2 days, so before then I had to find other things to do to fill the massive time period where my PS3 used to be. These things included a lot of T.V, reading for the first time in months and annoying play specialists whilst no one else was looking. Then after an entire week of excuses and fake sleeping Claire and Judie finally managed to roll me into the School Room, against my will, but after a while I started to find that school work has become fun! I have even had fun writing this blog thing , and I didn't have a say in whether I would do this or not, but it helps pass the time and every little helps. 9 days and counting!

My time in hospital

Hi my name is Kaleisha and I had a bad stomach pain it was difficult because I had to walk around with an I.V.I and couldnt eat or drink until two days after .I had lots of blood tests and they were all fine .I came to the school room and met Katie she was in hospital as long as me.The school room showed me how to do a blog .

2nd Half Autumn term

Welcome back, hope everyone had a well earned break and rest.!!!

Infection in the knee bone

My name is Bradley. I am ten years old. I have been in hospital for 2 weeks and maybe a week more. The best part is the school room and the garden. The worst part is all the writing!. I have been looking at volcanos as my topic. I have done an experiment with a volcano made out of modrockwith my teacher from my primary school. I put viniger and baking powder in a bottle and then it all fizzed up. It was amazing it looked like a real volcano. The lava looked like it was burning up.  I was glad it did not smell like a real (sulpher) roten eggs.

Broken Leg

Hi! I am Sumika,
I have been in hospital for a few days and I have a broken leg but to carry on my studies I have gone to the Hospital School and been learning about the Berlin Wall.
I go to The Gilberd and I am eleven years old and love History.
I am also half Japanese and can speak 2 languages, it is great being bilingual. My dad is English and my mum is from Tokyo Japan.

Let me tell you about hospital. They have got an X Box and a Playstation.
I have been here 23 days.
I have been to The Hospital Schoolroom most mornings and think it is quite good fun !!!

life in hospital

Being in hospital isn't fun but its was good at some points and I was very impressed by the nurses who were allways devoted to what they were doing.They were allways on the go , but still had time to chat and be there .The surgeons and playleaders and paediatircian were great too and did  an amazing job.

Being in Hospital for 6 weeks can be boring ,but does`nt have to be.
When I heard about the school I thought "Oh no not school "!!
Judie and Claire the school teachers made things fun.It`s possible I actually
enjoyed coming to school .
I will miss them loads.

Getting Started

Busy week just finding feet and catching up.

Very pleased to welcome Claire Cant to Schoolroom Team!

Classroom timetable sorted and schoolroom will be staffed Monday to Friday 8:30-12:30

Great to be able to bring our first bed from A2 into classroom with very keen pupil!!

Back to school September 6th after 6 weeks!
Thinking perhaps projects on 'Around The World', to link in with Rugby World Cup in New Zealand - also  Olympic Games Theme.
Lots of new resources and IT Learning Sites to try out.
Should be fun.
On a sadder note the schoolroom has said goodbye to Steph Bonner after 6 years and she is going to be very much missed - enjoy your retirement Steph! :)

New Term

New Autumn Term fast approaching and looking forward to being back in the classroom.
Had a quick check in and have some good ideas for displays and topics - should be fun!
