My name is Thomas and I was admitted to hospital at approximately 15:30 on 23rd June 2013.
I have really enjoyed my stay in the Children's Ward. I have had a t.v at my bedside to watch. Last night I watched a French t.v program in the adolescent room called 'The Returned ', with my dad.
For hospital food the food is really good because it is delivered at bedside. All my nurses have been very kind and compassionate and my observations were done in a way that I could sleep as well as have medical checks.
The reason I was in hospital was because I was peeling potatoes and carrots on Sunday afternoon and whuilst I was peeling potatoes my eyes went really itchy and then I struggled to breathe so my dad called 999 and said I was having anaphylactic shcok. The ambulance arrived and I was whisked off to hospital. I was put in resuscitation and had a cannula inserted. I was admitted to BayC and had dinner and then about 20:30 I was sent to BayE and I fell asleep and then I woke up watched tv and here I am now writing my story in The Hospital Schoolroom.

Happy New Year, 2013.
We would like to wish everyone all the best for 2013.
Our Autumn display has now been replaced with a winter scene that is waiting for wintery pictures and words to be added to it:
The shelves in the BFG's cave became very full with children's wishes over the Autumn term:
Thanks to Charlie for the extra riddles, and Helen for all of the art work!
Best wishes,
Sally, Judie & Teresa

This has now been replaced with 'The Hobbit'. Children can post riddles to help Bilbo escape from Gollum's cave, help draw a map for Gandalf and the dwarves and lots of other 'Hobbit' activities!
Thanks to Charlie for the extra riddles, and Helen for all of the art work!
